Hello, I am Monique van Spellen. Thank you for dropping in, I really like that! On this page I want to tell a bit about me; my life and my use of leisure. I live in the middle of Holland in Hilversum. I am born on June 10th 1960, don't mention it to everyone! I am married for 29 years now to a great guy named Jan. We love to travel together with our small camper van. We have a lovely family with his two daughters Mascha and Meta and our son's, Guido and Sylvester!

I work at nights in a psychiatric hospital, it's a clinic for people with brain damage caused by alcohol abuse. I love designing websites, it's my hobby to make my own but sometimes I built one for others too

Music fills a huge part of my life, that is, listening to, not practice! My taste has changed through the years. When I was a teenager I listened to pretty loud stuff: Alice Cooper, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Slade......later on I also liked Queen, Meat Loaf and Elton John very much. In my twenties I loved listening to Barbara Streisand, the BG's and.........Wet Wet Wet came to the forefront. Never digging deeper for biographics or photo's, but loved in particular Marti's voice. From the day I bought my first video I was grabbed by their performance and fantastic live sound. I was hooked, and The Night Of The Proms in 1998 made it worse :-) In little time I bought everything they ever had released. Of course I didn't let Marti slip away when he was going solo. I do LOVE his soulful voice more than anyone else's. The amazing abilities he has with his voice are endless, his sound ever fascinates me. Now Wet Wet Wet are back together again, and I am really pleased about that. I love the contact with other fans which I have via my pages, the concerts, and e-mail. Some of them became real good friends! :-) My favorite Wet Wet Wet songs are Temptation, Don't Wanna Fight Anymore, The Only Sounds, Hear Me Now, Goodnight Girl, If I Never See You Again, Heaven and Run. My favorite albums are Timeless, Popped In Souled Out, High On The Happy Side and Picture This. My favorite clips are those from Somewhere Somehow, More Than Love, Broke Away, and Too Many People. Favorite Marti Pellow songs: Did You Ever Wake Up?, New York Vibe, Universal Bus, Suddenly, Brand New Start, This Moment Is OK, Make It Stick, Winter Across Her Brow and many others....... favorite albums: Smile, Devil & The Monkey and Love To Love.

 
 

In 2001 I went to Schotland and England again with some lovely mates to enjoy the concerts Marti has been giving!! We Dutchies met many Mardi bar friends and other fans. We made sure they all could recognise us..... even Marti lauged and pointed to us during his performance!! :-) My sons show our outfits here
